Today, is 34 years ago that I married my best friend and the love of my life. We met in high school at my girlfriend’s birthday party. When we met, he asked me if I was catholic. I laughed and asked “why, do you think we are going to get married?” We began dating and the rest is history.

It was a warm and sunny day in March and we could not have had better weather. Our reception was at the same place where we attended our two proms together. As we were leaving our reception at the end of the evening, it was raining. I was so glad the rain held off and I was reminded that rain on your wedding day is good luck!

We settled into married life and 2 years later we had our daughter. We had two more children, a boy, then another girl and our family was complete.

I feel fortunate today and every day to spend my life with my best friend and the man that I love, respect and admire. He makes me laugh, he is supportive and he is a wonderful father to our children.
